Hey there! My name is Peter and I’m a Front-End WordPress Developer & Designer based in gorgeous London, UK. I have been making websites since 2014 and I’m passionate about the process of wireframing, designing and developing for the web.
In this section I’ll briefly write about my skills and coding/markup languages that I know and I hope that it will serve as a good indicator of how I may be able to help your company with everyday tasks and responsibilites.

HTML. I can write W3C-valid HTML5 markup, that is semantical, well-organized and structured so that it’s later easy to read or maintain but also accessible for vision impaired users and screen-readers.
CSS. I have been writing CSS since 2014 and I’m very familiar with the language and all its quirks. I’m also familiar with latest best practices and properties of CSS3 along with preprocessor scripting languages like SASS & LESS.
I like to use BEM naming convention and the 7-1 folder structure recommended in SASS docs, but I’m also flexible and open to other systems. I can also use the amazing CSS Grid, Flexbox, CSS variables, media queries, rem/em units & other similar tools used in front-end development.
JavaScript. My journey with JS began with the jQuery library but I have quickly decided to learn vanilla JS. I can now write valid ES5 & ES6 JavaScript and interact with Browser APIs like Fetch API, Promises API and external REST APIs on the Web.
I also understand unusual JS behaviours through concepts like hoisting, the scope chain, execution stack, this keyword and know how to debug and navigate JS libraries. My interest with JS is only growing. I have began to explore Node, Electron, Express.js, MongoDB and I try to broaden my knowledge every day with courses and books.
UI and UX Design. I strongly believe that the best results are achieved when arts and technology join forces. That’s why, in all my designs, I try to incorporate best UI and user experience practices to make sure that the end product not only looks good but is also usable and intuitive to the user.
I always strive to draw inspiration from design fields like: typography, lettering, print, color theory, HCI, grid systems and many more, so that the websites and products made by me are clean and simple to navigate.
WordPress & PHP. I have developed several WP themes and in the meantime learned to love the expandability and versatility of the platform. I’ve also decided to publish my most recent theme TIMES on ThemeForest where it was bought over 400 times and currently scores a 5 star rating.
I can create valid themes and plugins for WP with the use of PHP. I also understand the WordPress platform, can preform manual WP installation and set-up the hosting with cPanel.
Terminal and Gulp.js task runner. I know how to navigate the terminal and file system, create aliases and customize my .bash_profile. I also know how to use VIM and CLIs for gulp.js and other command line tools.
Git & GitHub. I can use git as a standalone VCS through the command line or the GitHub app or Atom’s editor extension. I prefer to work with the command line though, as it allows me to easily add/switch/merge/rebase branches, log commits, push & pull versions of the project or revert and reset commits.
I know how to setup .gitignore and use the atomic approach to naming and pushing commits. I’m always open to other ways of doing things and am flexible.
SEO Optimised Code. I understand basic concepts of SEO and can write code in accordance with structured data guidelines from Google and other search engines: RDFa Lite 1.1, JSON+LD, Microdata.
